How much does ZeraBooks cost?
$79 per month billed annually ($948 per year), or $149 billed monthly, in U.S. dollars. Every plan includes both General Ledger and Converter; that plan includes 1,000 Converter pages a month (12,000 a year upfront on annual billing). ZeraBooks 2,500 (2,500 pages a month) is $249 monthly or $2,148 a year, and ZeraBooks 5,000 (5,000 pages a month) is $599 monthly or $5,388 a year.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 7 days. You add a card at checkout and are not charged during the 7 days. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
Do I pay separately for the Converter or for exports?
No. The bank statement converter and the General Ledger, with its AI bookkeeping, come in the same subscription, with no per-document or export fees. Plans differ only by Converter pages: 1,000, 2,500 or 5,000 a month. If you need more, you move up a plan (prorated, right away); nothing is billed as overage.
What counts as a Converter page?
Each page of a PDF you convert counts once, when it is read. Pages that fail to convert never count, and reading a document again does not count it twice. When a plan’s pages are used up, new uploads wait until the next period or until you move up a plan; everything already converted stays available to download.
What if I need more than 5,000 pages a month?
Talk to us. We set up higher volume and custom solutions directly through ZeraBooks Enterprise.
How do my bank transactions get in?
Upload your bank and credit card statements as PDFs, or import a CSV. ZeraBooks reads the transactions and categorizes them into your books. There is no live bank connection.
Does it work with QuickBooks?
Every conversion downloads as Excel or CSV, including QuickBooks-ready and Xero-ready CSV files for their bank statement imports (see PDF to QuickBooks). The Converter does not connect to QuickBooks. To move books over from QuickBooks, Xero or other software, import your existing records when you set up a company in the General Ledger; see ZeraBooks as a QuickBooks alternative.
Is bookkeeping included?
No. If you want us to do your books, bookkeeping services start at $150 a month (USD); the exact price depends on your accounts, transaction volume and reporting needs. You keep access to your dashboard.
Is there a charge for each client company?
Every plan includes 3 active client companies. Each additional active client is $29 a month on monthly billing, or $290 a year on annual billing, added to the same subscription and charged prorated for the rest of the current period. Archiving a client stops its charge from the next renewal. Archived clients and your own books never count.
Do you work with accounting firms?
Yes. ZeraBooks builds custom solutions specifically for accounting firms. Referrals from top-10 U.S. accounting firms are available as references on request. Talk to us through ZeraBooks Enterprise, or see accounting software for accountants.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Go to Settings › Billing, which opens your billing portal, and cancel there. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
